Ragindra Persaud

Director

Mr. Ragindra Persaud is a prominent Businessman in Guyana with over 30 years’ experience in the Rice and other Industries.
He is a Co-founder and Director of Nand Persaud & Company Limited, which is an ISO 22000:2018 Certified Rice Milling business that manufactures White and Parboiled Rice for the local and international markets in the Caribbean, North America and Europe.
Mr. Persaud’s career began in 1984 with Investments in Rice Cultivation. In 1988 he became a Partner in Nand Persaud Agriculture Machinery & Spare Parts Company which is a wholesaler and retailer of Agri-Machinery and Spare Parts. In 1992, he Co-founded Nand Persaud & Company Limited (NPC) which is popularly known as the “Home of Karibee Rice.” In 2002, he spearheaded the launched of the Karibee brand rice. Later the same year, Mr. Persaud Co-founded Nand Persaud International Communications Inc. (NPIC) which is a 100% export-oriented business that pioneered Data Processing and Call Centers in Guyana. In 2004 he Co-founded NPG Packaging and Plastic Inc. which manufactures a wide range of plastic films and its products.
In 2013, he Co-founded Amazonia Rice Investment Inc. in Guyana which produces rice for the local and international markets. In 2017 he invested in and Co-founded Flexotech Inc. which is a pioneer company specialized in high quality plastic film manufacturing and printing in Guyana. The same year, Mr. Persaud Co-founded and invested in Green Power Solution Inc. This business operates in the ever-growing market on renewable energy particularly, solar energy and have completed a number of turnkey projects at different locations in Guyana. In 2015, Mr. Persaud acquired Florida Golds Foods LLC in Florida, USA, which is a Rice Milling and Packaging facility to supply packaged rice to markets within the US. In 2020, he became the Co-founder and Equity Partner of CIMGRO Construction & Investment Group Inc. (Maraiko Bay Development Project). In 2021, Mr. Persaud, Co-founded Agrolink Inc. which engages in Soymeal and Corn Trading in Guyana.
Mr. Persaud is currently the Chairman of Nand Persaud Group of Companies which comprises Ten (10) dynamic companies that cater for the needs of all customers. These companies provide a comprehensive range of professional services in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, renewable energy, telemarketing, among others.
Mr. Persaud is also the Chairman of Guyana Rice Exporters and Millers Association (GREMA) which represents the interests of rice millers in Guyana.

Bayney Karran

Consultant

Mr. Bayney Karran is a retired Ambassador, a Lawyer and a former Radio personality. He is currently employed as a Consultant on Government and Public Relations to companies in his native Guyana. Before his appointment as an Ambassador, he worked as an Attorney-at-Law in private practice. Prior to his legal career, he worked as a Producer and Presenter of a wide variety of programs for radio. As a diplomat, Mr. Karran first was appointed as Guyana’s Ambassador to Venezuela in 1996. He served in that capacity until 2003. He was then appointed Ambassador to the United States of America in Washington, DC, where he was posted for 13 years. His final diplomatic position was as Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China from 2016 to 2019. He was Guyana’s non-resident Ambassador to Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Pakistan and Panama and has also served as Guyana’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States. Mr. Karran was a member of Guyana's legal team at the UN Law of the Sea Tribunal which demarcated the international maritime boundary between Guyana and Suriname. He has lectured widely on topics dealing with sustainable development and regional security in the Western Hemisphere. In the course of his diplomatic career, Mr. Karran has worked at opening up opportunities internationally for exploration and development in Guyana’s Oil and Gas, Gold Mining and other sectors. He has served as Guyana's Alternate Governor at the World Bank, at the Inter-American Development

Bank and as Vice-Chairman of the Young Americas Business Trust, an international NGO that promotes youth entrepreneurship. In Guyana he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Guyana Broadcasting Corporation, a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Guyana, Chairman of the National Insurance Scheme Appeals Tribunal and the Secretary of the Guyana Bar Association. He is a founding Director of the Guyana Legal Aid Clinic, a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to the needy. Mr. Karran career as an Attorney at Law from 1984 to 1996, first as a sole practitioner then as a Partner in the law firm of de Caires, Fitzpatrick and Karran. He furnished legal advice and representation to public and private entities in civil and commercial matters. In 2003 Ambassador Karran was awarded the Order of the Liberator in the First Class by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for his role in improving and strengthening the bilateral relationship between Guyana and Venezuela. In 2016 he was awarded the Cacique Crown of Honour by the Government of Guyana for his services in the field of diplomacy.

Ali Mudeen

Mr. Ali Mudeen is widely recognized as a leader in the international financial services industry. He has travelled extensively around the world developing business and other strategic relationships. Mr. Mudeen has over 29 years of international experience, having worked and resided in New York City, Miami, South America and in the Caribbean. In addition, he has travelled and spent extensive periods of time in financial centres such as London, Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Mumbai and Singapore. Mr. Mudeen has previously held Senior Management and Director level positions in Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Development, Human Resources and in Client Services with large organizations such as banks, trust companies, law firms and other international businesses. Mr. Mudeen was the CEO and Vice Chairman of J&T Bank and Trust Limited in Barbados. J&T Bank and Trust is an independent provider of International Financial Services to High-Net-Worth Individuals and companies. It is part of the J&T Group which is a multi-billion Euro conglomerate which is involved primarily in Finance, Real Estate, Media and Energy. Prior to joining J&T, Mr. Mudeen spent 2 years as the Managing Director of a large Dutch Financial Services Company that has offices in 18 countries around the globe. Mr. Mudeen worked closely with the Chairman of the group in the areas of strategic and business development. He also advised the Global Fund Administration practice. He had responsibility of expanding the Group’s operations globally with special emphasis on the Caribbean, South America, Asia and in the Middle East. Prior to this, Mr. Mudeen spent close to a decade developing the Caledonian Group where he was a Director and Shareholder of Caledonian Bank & Trust Limited, Caledonian Global Fund Services, Caledonian Corporate Services, Caledonian Insurance Services and several other group entities. Mr. Mudeen was responsible for creating and implementing Caledonian's vision and with engineering and transforming Caledonian's business model that saw the group emerge as a leading global provider of international financial services in the areas of Fund Administration, International Banking, Trusts, and Captive Insurance Management. Mr. Mudeen was a Founding Director of Caledonian Global Fund Services and was responsible for establishing the practice in the Cayman Islands as well as in New York, Chicago, Orlando, Isle of Man. Mr. Mudeen is widely credited with growing Caledonian from a company with one office and a staff of 24 when he joined in 1999 to a staff of over 100 with several offices when he left Caledonian.

In 2014 Mr. Mudeen founded the fast-growing RTE Investment Holdings Inc in Guyana where he is presently the Chairman and CEO of a Rice Farming and Rice Machinery and Equipment Business. Mr. Mudeen also owns, develops and manages Real Estate in Guyana and Florida and counts among his active clients, the United Nations and the US Embassy in Guyana. Mr. Mudeen is a Co-Founder and Director of Navigant International Services Inc. which commenced operations in Guyana in 2022. Floyd Haynes

Mr. Haynes is a Guyanese born professional with 30+ years of senior- management and executive-level experience as a business leader. He is a Certified Public Accountant who holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, a MSc. in Financial econommics from the University of Oxford. He is an adjunct Professor in Finance, and Accounting at the University of the District of Columbia and a Public lecturer in leadership and Management.

Over the years, Mr. Haynes served as Chief Executive Officer for a 250 person firm in Washington DC specializing in accounting and financial management. For over 10 years, he successfully lead a team of professionals providing accounting and financial support for a 50 billion dollar organization with offices in over 100 countries. As CEO, Mr. Haynes was responsible for providing strategic, financial and operational leadership for the company. In addition, he managed and directed the company toward its primary goals and objectives. Lead a team of executives to consider major decisions including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, or large-scale expansion. Mr. Haynes has worked extensively in over 20 countries providing accurate analysis of budgets, reports and financial trends, and operational procedures for government and private industry. Mr. Haynes also served as an advisor to the Government of Guyana as part of the Local Content advisory team.
